I hope that as a society we can move away from the idea that someone is only beautiful if they are a certain race, or if they possess a societal ideal of appearance, unscarred, unblemished, whatever the majority says is acceptable at this minute. I embrace others for what they are and hope they will return the favor and respect what I am. If not, they aren't worth my time. I think you're beautiful, strong and intelligent... and brave. I'm not ashamed of my body... but not brave enough to pose naked. I applaud your willingness to share your inner and outer beauty with those who appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kelley! Posing nude was maybe the hardest and most challenging part of my body acceptance journey- harder yet to make the decision to post those photos online- it's helped me confront and overcome my own body hatred- I appreciate your words of support :)
